  Katie Irene Granberry, 102, of Lockhart married John E. Granberry in 1904 at Yoakum, Texas. The couple moved to Breckenridge in 1918 where she taught in the Breckenridge ISD from 1923-1932. She remained in Breckenridge until 1948 when she moved to Lockhart. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Baptist Church. Survivors: two sons - Herbert S. Granberry of Hurst and Walter E. Granberry of Lubbock; two daughters - Mrs. W.C. Werner of Tyler and Mrs. Roland Kaderli of Austin; a brother - Sumner Powers of Torrance, CA; two sisters - Mrs. A.L. Crownover and Ida Power, both of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. 4 May 1981
