It was always known, in our family, that my grand-mother, Patience Ann Boykin, was half Indian. My two older half-sisters, said that was true (they had known and lived with her). Also my uncles said the same. The Boykin family had lived in GA and after the government pushed them from their homes, into Oklahoma, nothing, I can find about them. They were of the Creek Tribe (there are Boykins now living in Oklahoma, owning oil wells). I have been working on this for a long time, so far, no soap.

...Bad news. I made contact with the cousin that I thought might have or know something about the letter from either the sheriff or William's foreman to Ann. They don't have it. We now believe that the letter was last with Pauline, Snooks wife, and was probably destroyed. Chalmers.

...I got the info on Merideth being connected with the cattle industry, i.e. agent for RR, from my grandmother (Nina West Delleney). She also told me that her grandfather West (Meredith) died from some sort of illness, "got sick", which appears to be true, and that her grandmother, P.A., told her that Patience's grandfather (that would be great grandfather - Jim Allen) was a Tory, and that she had Indian in her family. On the Indian thing, my grandmother said that P.A. said that the Indian ancestor was four or more generations back from Patience (according to Patience), not that they were "half Indian" or anything like that which seems to have developed. In fact, I remember calculating with my grandmother that Patience was something like 1/16th or 1/32nd Indian. The Tribe was supposed to be Creek.
