    Laura was the daughter of Samuel G. Foster born about 1806 in South Carolina and died between 1880-1900 possibly in Rockdale, Milam, Texas. Laura's mother was Elizabeth Sheppard born Nov 1819 in South Carolina and died about 1900 in Brazoria, Texas.
    Laura was married to Robert Sudbury who was born about 1857 in Dyer, Tennessee and died about 1891 in Milam County, Texas.
    *Note: Laura's death certificate gives the birth year as 1859, but her headstone says 1857. Hopefully the headstone has the correct year. If anyone has more information on her please contact me. Laura was my great grandmother.

    Mollie passed away on July 9, 1959.

    November 12, 1880. She married EDWARD D. DIVER, who had been born on
    January 18, 1873, on board a ship from England. Eula died on January 10, 1936,
    while Edward passed away on March 20, 1959.

    JOHN EDWIN SUDBURY ("Eddie") was born in Rockdale, Milam County,
    Texas, on February 7, 1883. On January 22, 1905, in Rockdale, he married
    ANNIE ELIZABETH COLLINS, the daughter of WILLIAM COLLINS and
    ELIZA ANNIE MULLINS. Annie had been born in Rockdale on April 9, 1887.

    Eddie and Annie lived for many years in Marlin, Falls County, Texas, and began
    hosting a local Sudbury family reunion in the early 1940s. Eddie died on
    December 9, 1955, in Marlin, while Annie passed away on September 5, 1971,
    also in Marlin.

    MAMIE EUDORA SUDBURY ("Mary") was born in Rockdale, Milam County,
    Texas, on December 4, 1889. She married GEORGE MANSEL WELCH, who
    was known as "Manse". Manse had been born on May 10, 1883, in Falls County,
    Texas. Mary died on June 18, 1971, while Manse passed away on June 29, 1959.

    December 27, 1891. He died on October 4, 1912, of typhoid fever. He was
    apparently unmarried and without children.

    Peak District Air Accident Research

    B-17E 41-9051 of the 813th BS / 482nd BG USAAF, crashed on Skiddaw near Keswick, on the 14th September 1943.

    The crew were on a cross country navigation flight from Alconbury, near Huntingdon, to RAF Turnhouse on the edge of Edinburgh (currently the city's airport). The accident investigators suggested that having been airborne for the lentgh of time it would have normally taken to fly from Alconbury to Edinburgh the pilot began a descent though the low cloud. While still in cloud at approximately 11:30am the aircraft flew into the south western side of Skiddaw and was destroyed by the crash and subsequent fire.

    The aircraft crashed on the steep scree slope on the south western side of Skiddaw a couple of hundred feet below the summit.
