1900 Van Zandt County Census: Brook with "Sallie A." (incorrect, should b e Anna Bell), children "Wade T.,
Elmer, Letha and Rubia." ED127, 21B, 382/388. Is it possible the mistake of "Sallie"
means that Salina lived with them? It also says birthplace TN; could that be a further
mistake in that direction? The Easley family Leatha married into lives just 6 doors away.

My grandmother called her "Aunt Bell." They were married by Thomas Stanford, M.G., in
the home of James and Salina Carter in Waco. She worked as a seamstress at A. Harris
in downtown Dallas. She had big brown eyes and lots of black hair. She died of a heart attack on son Elmer's front porch. She was about 5'2",
heavy set. It is said she went to Baylor University, but don’t know if that is accurate. She is buried at Old Bethel Cem. near Canton, TX.
