    In an email Cindy received, someone stated that her ggrandfather Robert Lee Simmons born 1865 in TN married Rebecca Ann Smith born 1867. Further, she stated that he had married an Indian girl meaning Rebecca). They are buried in Katie, OK. All my life I heard from my father that we were Choctaw Indian. I believe Rebecca and her husband lived on the Chickasaw reservation.

    Rebecca married Robert Lee Simmons on 18 Dec 1889. Robert (son of Newton C Simmons and Lucinda R Turner) was born in 1865 in Tennessee; died in in Katie, Oklahoma. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
