    Sir Richard Cust, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 30 October 1680 at St. George's Church, Stamford, Lincolnshire, England.2 He was the son of Sir Pury Cust and Ursula Woodcock.1 He married Anne Brownlow, daughter of Sir William Brownlow, 4th Bt. and Dorothy Mason, in 1717.1 He died on 25 July 1734 at age 53.1 He was buried at St. George's Church, Stamford, Lincolnshire, England.2 His will was probated in August 1754.2
    Sir Richard Cust, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Cust, of Stamford, co. Lincoln [E., 1677] on 30 August 1700.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1721.2

    Rt. Hon. Sir John Cust, 3rd Bt. was born on 29 August 1718.2 He was the son of Sir Richard Cust, 2nd Bt. and Anne Brownlow.2 He was baptised on 25 September 1718 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England.3 He married Etheldred Payne, daughter of Thomas Payne and Elizabeth Folkes, on 8 December 1743.2 He died on 24 January 1770 at age 51.1 He was buried on 8 February 1770 at Belton, Lincolnshire, England.3 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 26 April 1770.3
    Rt. Hon. Sir John Cust, 3rd Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Cust, of Stamford, co.     CUST, baron Brownlow of Belton, and a baronet; doctor of laws.

    This nobleman was born 3 December 1744, and succeeded to the baronetage upon the death of his father 24 January 1770. He was elected 1774 to represent the borough of Grantham in the county of Lincoln, and by king George the third was created baron Brownlow of Belton.

    Lord Brownlow married first 16 October 1770 Jocosa Catherina, daughter of sir Thomas Drury of Overston in the county of Northampton baronet; by which lady, who died 11 February 1772, he has issue

    Lord Brownlow married secondly 3 August 1775 Frances, daughter and heiress of sir Henry Banks of Wimbleton in the county of Surrey knight, and alderman of the city of London ; by which lady he has issue,

    The family of Cust has been traced back to the reign of king Edward the third. Richard Cust in the reign of king Charles the first, adhered to the party of the parliament, but was afterwards excluded from his seat in the house of commons by Oliver Cromwel. He was created a baronet by king Charles the second 29 September 1677. Purey, his son, raised a troop of horse in concert with William first earl of Devonshire at the period of there evolution. He accompanied king William the third in the subsequent reduction of Ireland.

    Sir Richard, second baronet, son of Purey, married Anne, sister of John Brownlow lord viscount Tyrconnel of the kingdom of Ireland; by which lady, who died 29 December 1779, he had issue,

    Francis Cockayne, who was elected 1774 to represent the borough of Helston in the county of Cornwal, and 1780 and 1784 to represent the borough of Grantham in the county of Lincoln. He is one of the king's counsel, one of the counsel to the university of Cambridge, counsel to the admiralty and navy office, and recorder of the borough of Grantham.
    Peregrine, a merchant of the city of London, who was elected 1768 to represent the borough of Bishops Castle in the county of Salop, and 1776 to represent the borough of Grantham in the county of Lincoln.
    Richard, who embraced the clerical profession, and married -- June 1767 Mary, daughter of the reverend George Harris doctor in divinity. He died 16 October 1783.
    Jane, married first to Francis Fane of Fulbeck in the county of Lincolnes quire, and secondly to James Evelyn esquire.

    Sir Richard Cust died 25 July 1734.

    Sir John Cuff, third baronet, was elected in the year 1761 speaker of the honourable house of commons, which office he resigned 17 January 1770. He married Etheldred, daughter of Thomas Payne of Hough; by which lady, who died 27 January 1775, he had issue,

    Sir Brownlow Cust, 1st Baron Brownlow of Belton was born on 3 December 1744 at Norfolk Street, Westminster, London, England.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Cust, 3rd Bt. and Etheldred Payne.1 He married, firstly, Jocosa Katherina Drury, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Thomas Drury, 1st and last Bt. and Martha Tyrrell, on 16 October 1770 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.1 He married, secondly, Frances Bankes, daughter of Sir Henry Bankes and Frances Pembrooke, on 31 August 1775 at St. James' Church, Westminster, London, England.2 He died on 25 December 1807 at age 63 at Belton, Lincolnshire, England.2 He was buried at Belton, Lincolnshire, England.2
