    "Joseph F. Brownlow, 72, died August 26, 2003, at his home. Mr. Brownlow was a special agent for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Born December 11, 1930, in McGehee, AR, he was the son of the late Theodore and Estes (Stephens) Brownlow.

    He is survived by his wife: Virginia Rose (Cook) Brownlow; two daughters: Rebecca (James) Hohmeier of Arnold and Vanessa (Jim) Altenbernd of St. Louis County; one sister: Theo Beth Westholt of St. Louis County; and three grandchildren: Drew Hohmeier, Alaina Altenbernd and Clayton J. Altenbernd.

    He is preceded in death by one son: Clayton Stephen Brownlow.

    Funeral services were held August 29 at St. Rose of Lima in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Ron Hopmeir. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements were by Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto."

    Married Virginia Rose Cook on September 24, 1960 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Saint Louis, MO.
