DUBLIN --- Services for Jack H. Brownlow will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville with burial in Alta Vista Cemetery. Brownlow, 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999. Born in Hall County, he was the son of the late James Walter and Mae Highsmith Brownlow. He attended Young Harris College prior to serving in the military during World War II. He was a retired career federal employee. Survivors include his wife, Mary Wood Brownlow; children, Jackie Caldwell of Fallston, Md., Jill Langsford of Dublin and Jim Brownlow of San Ramon, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the Langford residence, 2303 Scott Drive, Dublin. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Dublin Community Church, 400 Airport Road, Dublin 31021, or Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 400 Woods Ave., Dublin 31021.

Deceased Name: Jack H. Brownlow
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999, at Memorial Park Funeral Home for Jack H. Brownlow, 78, of Dublin.
Dr. Reece Lester will officiate. Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Langford home at 2303 Scott Drive, Dublin, and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at t he funeral home.
Mr. Brownlow died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Dublin Hospital.
A native of Hall County, Mr. Brownlow was the son of the late James Walter Brownlow and Mae Highsmith Brownlow, and the brother of the late Bonnie K. Brownlow.
Mr. Brownlow attended Young Harris College prior to serving in the U.S. military. During World War II, he was stationed in Almagorda, N.M., and then in the Caribbean Theater where he served as a crew chief and co-pilot in the Army Air Corps. A career federal employee, he worked in the Poultry Grading Division of the USDA, working in Columbia, S.C., Chicago, Ill., and San Francisco, Calif. When he retired in 1982, he was the area supervisor for the West Coast region. He then moved to Dublin, where he served as manager of the Dublin Country Club Golf Shop until 1989. He spent his retirement years enjoying family, friends and golf. He was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church in Dublin.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary Wood Brownlow daughters, Jackie Caldwell, Fallston, Md., Jill Langford, Dublin son, Jim Brownlow, San Ramon, Calif. grandchildren, Jeff and Amy Langford, Dublin, Doug, Heather, and Daniel Brownlow, San Ramon, Calif., Kim Becker, Silver Spring, Md., Ryan Caldwell, Anderson, S.C., and Evan Caldwell, Fallston, Md. and great-grandchild, Madeline Becker, Silver Spring, Md.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Ryan Caldwell, Jeff Langford and Evan Caldwell, and nephews Lynn Cooper, Lamar Cooper and Al Kytle.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to either the Dublin Community Church 400 Airport Road, Dublin, GA 31021, or Pine Forest Methodist Church, 400 Woods Ave., Dublin, GA 31021.
