Mangham, 65, of Penrose, Co., passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at a local hospital. Marvin "Gene" Mangham, originally from Waco, was born June 2, 1947, to Marvin H. and Roxie Mangham. He attended University High and married his high school sweetheart, Louise Anderson, on Sept. 16, 1966. The couple had two boys, Richard Mangham and William Mangham. Gene served his county in the US Army for 30 years and during that time earned many commendations including the Meritorious Service Medal with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Expert Field Medical Badge, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Overseas Service Ribbon, Expert Badge (M16 Rifle), Parachutist Badge and many others. Gene's passion for his country was only exceeded by his passion for fishing and hunting. He loved all things outdoors and spent as much time as possible enjoying life. He is survived by his father, Marvin H. Mangham; four siblings, Sandy Brownlow and husband, Gene, Randy Mangham and wife, Julie, Judy Bessellieu and husband, Les, and Laurie Brown and husband, Allen. He had one granddaughter, Ashley Sigler. Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Roxie Mangham.
