    VAN WYCK - Phillip Andrew Hinson, 8, of 400 Deer Run Road, died Monday, March 28, 1994.
    The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Bethel United Methodist Church in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Olene Civils officiating and the Rev. Randall Madsen assisting. Burial will be at Van Wyck United Methodist Church Cemetery.
    Born in York County, Phillip was a student at Erwin Elementary School in Lancaster, and was a member of Van Wyck United Methodist Church and Cub Scout Pack #96.
    Surviving are his father, Sonny Hinson; his paternal grandparents, Ruth and Phillip Hinson Jr. of Rock Hill; his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Aline Bell of York; and his paternal great-grandmother, Vergie Brownlow of Rock Hill.
    The family will receive friends at the home of the immediate family or the home of his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Aline Bell, 1924 Abby Lane, York.

    ROCK HILL - Mrs. Vergie M. Brownlow, 87, of 127 Murrah Drive, Magnol ia Manor, formerly of Chicopee, Ga., died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, at Mag nolia Manor.
    The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Little-Davenport Funeral Ho me in Gainesville, Ga. Burial will be at Alta Vista City Cemetery in Gaine sville, Ga.
    Born in Bristol, Va., Mrs. Brownlow was a retiree of Johnson & Johns on Co. in Georgia after 45 years of service. She was a member of Chicop ee Baptist Church. She lived in Rock Hill for several years and was the wi dow of Paul Brownlow.
    Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Brownlow Hinson; her brother, Gene M unpower of Gainesville, Ga.; her sister, Ivadell Clifton of Danville, Va .; and two grandchildren.
    The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Little-D avenport Funeral Home.

    Greene Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
