    Sir William Brownlow, 1st Bt. was born circa 1595.1 He was the son of Richard Brownlow and Katharine Page.1 He married Elizabeth Duncombe, daughter of William Duncombe and Agnes Bennet, before 1624.1 He died in 1666.1
    Sir William Brownlow, 1st Bt. matriculated at St. Mary Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 26 June 1607.2 He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 28 January 1610/11 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).3 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1617 entitled to practice as a Barrister.3 He was created 1st Baronet Brownlow, of Humby, co. Lincoln [England] on 27 July 1641.1 He was a Parliamentarian during the Civil War.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincolnshire in 1653.1
